Problematic Behavior By Elena Taber

Elena Taber has had a problematic reputation long before she started dating Jamie. Here are just some of the things that she has done that can either be factually verified or are solid speculation and somewhat based on factual evidence.

One: The 9/11 Fit Check:

I think the most well-known controversy having to do with Elena is the 9/11 fit check video. This was posted on Reddit a couple of years back, and you can see the full video here. This cost her quite a lot of followers and a bunch of backlash. According to everything I’ve read, she’s never apologized for this and quickly deleted it once she was called out.

Two: Supporting Problematic MLMs (Allegedly)

Though I wasn’t able to find very solid evidence of this, I was able to find a forum of people talking about Elena promoting an MLM to her audience. If you know anything about MLMs, you know why this is a stupid idea and could even be predatory if she was trying to get her own subscribers to join her downline. I’m assuming nothing came of this since I haven’t heard anything about it outside of this one forum, but I do believe that these people are more than likely telling the truth. Note: The forum this information was gathered from is currently down, and there is no news as to when it may be back up, but this is the LINK where it was found.

Three: Appropriation

Elena claimed that she was a minority with “white passing privilege,” either something to do with Persian or Iranian heritage (I’m unsure which because information on this is all over the place); however, it is definitely known she tried to claim this “privilege” as passing and got a ton of backlash for it as well, then immediately retracted it and never brought it up again. That’s because despite the fact that she may have some other percentage of non-white DNA, she’s clearly mostly just a plain white girl who was trying to use this status for nefarious reasons.

Four: Unethical

Elena has claimed on her IG account (and possibly her YouTube) to be some sort of “ethical creator”. However, she has taken multiple sponsorships from Canada Goose a company well known for its inhumane treatment of animals, and she also (in the past) promoted the service “Better Help,” which has had its own share of high-profile controversies. It seems that she’s way more into this gig for the money over the “ethics” of what she’s promoting or who might be sponsoring her.

Five: Predatory

Elena Taber is from a family with Christian missionary parents who have been accused of using predatory tactics in third-world countries. Specifically, it has been said that they are manipulative in getting impoverished people to convert to their brand of Christianity in exchange for things like clean water and food. Her father also runs a media company that has been accused of creating racist cartoons/propaganda, but I couldn’t find any proof of this, only the accusations.

Six: Trust Fund Girl

Somehow, despite her parents being missionaries and running a “nonprofit organization,” they are extremely wealthy. It is unknown how this happened, but it has been speculated that it’s due to suspicious business practices within their own church and how they use and collect donations. Trust ratings for the family charity are low, and even though they are bound by law to be transparent with their spending, they most definitely are not.

Seven: Girl Boss Lie

Elena continually fails to acknowledge that the wealth of her parents is a huge factor in her popularity and lifestyle while claiming that she affords everything she does on “her own hard work,” when the evidence shows that can’t possibly be true.

If you look her up on Social Blade, you can see that she barely makes enough per year to live the lifestyle she shows off on IG and YouTube, and even though she probably makes slightly more than this (based on sponsorship and the revenue she gets from TikTok), when you add it all up, it’s still not nearly enough to support her nomadic luxury “do whatever she wants all the time” lifestyle.

Eight: Reddit Bully

In March of 2026, Elena Taber was exposed on Reddit for writing a post about herself on a burner account. From this burner account, it was easy to find out that she was also snarking on her friends behind their backs. The original post she made exposed her badly enough, as she provided a link (which proved the account was hers) and implied that dating Jamie Bower was like “Hell on earth”. This post gained so much traction that it was picked up by several news sources, including the Daily Mail. Though it essentially cancelled her completely, Elena has never even attempted to publicly apologize for it and, to this day, continues on like nothing happened.

To this day, Elena Taber’s problematic behavior continues as she keeps posting on her social media, attempting to manipulate the public into believing she’s a more “famous” influencer than she is, has brand deals she doesn’t have, and uses Jamie for clout. As of writing this article, there has been no official announcement of a breakup; she likes to keep the narrative that they are still together and just private to avoid harassment. It is assumed she will continue to use this narrative until Jamie makes it clear that he is dating someone else.
