Elena Taber’s Reddit Scandal Downfall

The Only Thing She’ll Ever Be Famous For

In early 2026, Elena Taber exposed exactly the type of person she really was by self-posting on Reddit. The original post was made, then quickly deleted once people called her out for making it. The telltale sign of this was a link that she included in the post that pointed directly to her TikTok account. A link that only someone signed into her account could ever have. That is all the proof anyone would ever need that Elena made this post in the first place, and it is quite telling. (source)

It all started with this post in LAInfluencerSnark, very quickly reaching thousands of upvotes and spreading far across Reddit into other related subreddits. It contains the original post Elena made (before she deleted it), and it reads as follows:

Her Title: Elena Taber Updates?

Post Content:

This relationship isn’t new news but I need someone to talk to about this with lol. I haven’t been kept up with her as much but she used to be one of favorites back in the day and I keep seeing her pop up with Jamie Campbell Bower and it’s so crazy to me??

I loveddd her vibe a lot alongside Moya Mawhinney and Margot Lee and those girls who seem cool and kind etc. She seemed to be one of the few influencers who at least attempted a level of more researched/ interesting content like the history lessons or the financial education or just traveling to more unique parts of the world and showing the culture by connecting with locals. Even if a bit pseudo-intellectual sometimes, I really appreciated that there was more substance than so many of the other nyc consumerism-final-boss influencers i follow.

I kinda stopped keeping up as much when she left NYC for Paris but she doesn’t seem to post as much and maybe has gone more private cause of her relationship? It’s insaneeee seeing so much unhinged hate she gets for just existing and dating someone famous. I saw this tik tok recently and I’m like damn this would suck lol [link to Tiktok here]

That link is how people caught her. To clarify, this was originally posted on the NYCInfluencerSnark subreddit but deleted, and when it was reposted as a callout, that subreddit deleted that post; then it was moved to the place you see here (check the link above to read everything for yourself if you’d like). Here is a screenshot of her big mistake:

For those who are curious what the TikTok she linked to was, it was a TikTok talking about how dating a celebrity was hell on earth, leaving the implication that she was saying dating Jamie Bower was hell on earth. Which very obviously did not sit right with people. Especially his fans. It was shortly after this that people were able to dig up the rest of her posts on Reddit, going by her username Constant-Candy-5197, as she may have been able to delete the posts, but there are other sites that archive activity that she cannot delete. This is how everyone found out that Elena Taber is a backstabbing bully who most definitely does not support other women. If you want to read through them for yourself, this is a link to the archive (which Elena is making sure to scrub from every corner of Reddit when it is posted)

Ironically, you can see she made this post (before she made the post about herself in the NYCSnark subreddit) asking how private you can actually be on Reddit. Guess she didn’t try hard enough to cover her tracks, even with researching the subject. It might be hilarious if it weren’t so pathetic, but now on to the real issues. The fact that you can see she was a regular snarking on other NYC influencers (people who she was friends with nonetheless) on Reddit.

Rumor has it that Coco unfollowed Elena as soon as this was revealed, and I don’t believe they ever reconciled after this was discovered.

Here is another comment she made on a post about another influencer (Emma Leger) snarking at her for not being able to stay single for two days.

One of the most ironic comments she left was in response to a post about influencers forcing boyfriends to be in their content and how annoying it must be for them. To which Elena said that it is uncomfortable and she felt bad for this guy. The reason this is ironic is because of how much she had used Jamie in her content even when he looked uncomfortable (or wasn’t knowingly in the content). This includes a TikTok where you can see her giving him a cue to kiss her at the right moment and another story she shared on Instagram at “The Bridge of Sighs” in Peru, where you can see and hear how uncomfortable he is with her filming him. Among other things. She pretty much made her entire personality, content, and life about her celebrity boyfriend to get the engagement, yet here she’s snarking at someone else filming their boyfriend for content.

In other comments and threads, she goes on to attack and snark on a good friend of hers, Brooke Miccio, someone who later called her out for doing it on a podcast (though not by name) and said she was a loser. Though more recently she added to that and did call Elena out by name, stoking the fires once more. As a result of this chaos, the Daily Mail caught wind of what was going on and ended up writing an article about it, exposing Elena for not only what she did on Reddit but also other problematic behavior in the past (such as her 9/11 fit check).

Shortly after this, problems started to happen for Elena. She was unable to stay in NYC because it was tarnishing her reputation so hard (and quite possibly running out of money), so she moved back home to Foothill Ranch with her parents. Something she did try to hide for a good long time. The California part, at least. She still won’t admit that she’s living with her parents, but it’s obvious from contextual clues that that’s where she ended up. At least, I should say allegedly, because I do not know this to be a fact, but it’s probably true or very close to the truth. She also had some ad reels pulled by Nordstrom within 24 hours of them going up. One that was posted on TikTok and one that was posted on Instagram were so overrun with hate and backlash that the company removed them within hours.

Elena never offered up any sort of public apology or explanation for any of this. As stated, it was reported that she privately apologized to some people (like Brooke), but it was also reported that even though Brooke got a custom apology, others reported that their apology was a copy/paste template and definitely not something personally written for them. This has led a lot of people to speculate that Elena is not sorry for what she did (nor does she think she did anything wrong either). After a few weeks of “silence” on social media, she came back, made a vague post about how the past was in the past, and she was just moving towards the future and wouldn’t let her life be ruined by negativity (or something along those lines). Since then, she has been posting quite regularly, though a lot of it is recycled content.

Recently, due to even more backlash, Expedia had to remove a collaborative ad reel that Elena did with another influencer when she went on a trip to Big Sur. It took Expedia about 24 hours to get rid of it, but they eventually did, as the comment section was far more negative than positive, with calls to boycott Expedia entirely. Since that point, Elena has been removing her alleged “Expedia Ambassador” title from the profile of her page and replacing it at random. It is unclear if Expedia currently wants her to be using that title or not, and because she is always removing it and putting it back up again, no one knows the answer. Expedia also will not comment on the matter either.

Then, out of nowhere, in July of 2026, The Sun UK posted yet another article rehashing this whole issue, but with some additional information that is key to point out. Especially a quote from someone who is allegedly close to Jamie and what he said about Jamie’s relationship with Elena:

“The way she comes across seems like she is trying to big herself up. For someone in the public eye, it’s immature. Jamie is in a great place in his career and anyone risking that is one to be cautious of. To be honest, the situation is embarrassing and he should consider this and where it leaves his future. Jamie is very happy but should consider his own future.” (source)

In the end, Elena was never a famous influencer before she got with Jamie Campbell Bower. She did not become famous because she was dating Jamie Campbell Bower either. Elena Taber’s fame (or infamy) will forever be tied to what she did on Reddit and how she exposed herself as a self-centered, egotistical bully. One post destroyed her entire reputation and alleged career and ruined her life. She wanted fame, and this is what she is now famous for. The girl who posted about what hell it was to date a celebrity and snarked at her own influencer friends behind their backs. Not for anything else. She has isolated herself from any chance of making it big ever in her life but, for some reason, continues not only to act like everything is completely fine (and she is successful at this) but also to act like she is still with Jamie Bower even when all the evidence points elsewhere. As for her “career” as an influencer in the first place, that is a whole other topic of discussion and may be far more of a farce than it ever was a real job for her, but that is for future discussion. As of now, I will leave you to ponder that Elena Taber got exactly what she asked for when she wanted fame, just not for the thing she wanted to be known for.
